Trash the Dress in Steamboat Springs, Colorado photographer: Corey Kopischke

Marissa and Shawn Trash the Dress

This was my first Trash the Dress and the goal was to capture the Winter wonderland of my hometown, Steamboat Springs with this great couple from the Front Range. They had a small intimate wedding the day before with close friends and family so it was just the three of us the next morning. With our lack of snowfall the post card perfect views were going to be very challenging to integrate with my newly weds. We started out at a few of my classic landscape locations.

Marissa and Shawn weren't really sure what to expect but it wasn't long before they were really getting into it.

En route to our next stop I thought I would warm them up with a secret little hot spring most people don't know of in the Winter time.

That is the Yampa River by the way but their toes are still warm.

They didn't stay here but I couldn't pass this one up.

This is the Historic Howelsen Hill ski area as the back drop.

It wouldn't be a classic ski town without a train depot.

The Strawberry Park Hot springs are mandatory if you want to see Steamboat like a local.

It's different every time I visit but still very scenic when it is uncrowded.

Fortunately the Springs were fairly uncrowded and everyone there was more than willing to migrate briefly to enhance their photo experience.

I really like how they united once in the 104 degrees mineral water.

Thank you guys!
